Jim Underhill, CFP®, MBA is the founder and Managing Member of Underhill Financial Advisors, LLC, a full service wealth management firm based in Tucson, Arizona. The firm works best with successful families, business owners and corporate managers facing significant transition. 

Jim is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Professional® with over 23 years’ experience managing clients’ portfolios. Underhill Financial Advisors, LLC services clients in 33 states.  

Jim has a Mechanical Engineering degree from The University of Missouri and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a past Board President of the Southern Arizona Estate Planning Council, a member of the Financial Planning Association, the University of Arizona Foundation’s Planned Giving Professional Advisory Council, and The UofA Personal & Family Financial Planning Advisory Board. 

The cornerstone of Jim’s practice is that each client has a personalized financial plan to guide them through life’s transitions. Our planning process simplifies our client’s lives by creating a clear roadmap for their future.  

Jim lives in Tucson and has been married to his wife, Suzanne, for 34 years. They have two sons, Jonathan and Jordan.

Jordan Underhill, CFP® is a financial advisor with Underhill Financial Advisors, LLC. Jordan’s responsibilities include Private Client Wealth Management, Small Business Retirement Planning, Risk Management, and Family Legacy Planning. 

Jordan is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional and holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ designation, Series 7 and Series 66 Securities Licenses as well as an Arizona Life & Health Insurance License.  Jordan is a member of the Southern Arizona Estate Planning Council and he is a Professional Advisory Committee Member of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona. Jordan obtained his Business Degree from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management.

Prior to joining the Firm, he worked for a Fortune 500, managing a Multi-State Region for their Small Business Sales Division.

Jordan lives in Tucson with his wife Casey, and three children, Charlotte, Desirae, and James.

We are pleased to announce Tyler Irving has been promoted to the role of Para-Planner.  Tyler was our firm’s Intern and recently graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Personal Financial Planning.  He will be eligible to sit for the CFP® Board Exam in 2022.  

Tyler will be managing our Financial Planning department and providing research and analysis in supporting our senior advisors.  Tyler has plans to become licensed as an Investment Advisor and work towards becoming the firm’s Junior Advisor.  

Tyler is the Life Teen music Director at St. Thomas the Apostle Church and is a self-taught pianist, guitarist and pretty much any other instrument he picks up.

Our Document Specialist is Elisabeth Russell.  Elisabeth is from Albuquerque, NM and has an Associate’s Degree in Accounting.  She moved to Tucson in 2015 and has worked as Document Coordinator for three of the Jim Click Automotive Dealerships overseeing contracts, warranties and title documentation.

Elisabeth and her two sons, Damien and Brayden love to play soccer and are all on local teams in Tucson.

Rebecca Fredona joined Underhill Financial as our Client Service Administrator. This role will oversee Client Meeting Preparation, & Follow-Up Tasks and Management of our Financial Plans including updating client goals and data as well as invoicing.  

Rebecca was a General Manager of local restaurant franchise overseeing a staff of 25.  She managed hiring, inventory, cash management and procedures.  Rebecca is a native of Tucson and enjoys playing board games, going to the movies and enjoying time with her son, Nicholas.

Max is graduating in May 2023 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Personal Financial Planning.  He is the Director of Membership Acquisition for UofA’s Financial Modeling Club and a member of the Financial Planning Association of Southern Arizona.  Max is a former collegiate baseball player and has worked in the construction industry as a superintendent overseeing project development and execution.  He has lived in Tucson his entire life and is excited to be a part of the Underhill Financial Team.
